In regards to commercial telematics specifically for local fleet delivery, factors which are shaping the dynamics of this industry include: changes in fuel prices, globalization, increased competition, the need to act in a sustainable matter, the increase of consumers using e-commerce for on-line shopping and the rise of free delivery services. As a consequence of these elements, fleet delivery services are under increasing pressure to reduce costs in order to remain competitive; and as a result are turning to commercial telematics to help them defy these tough market conditions.
